My campaign is centered around five primary goals and objectives. 1) accountability, 2) transparency, 3) fiscal restraint, 4) civil liberties, and 5) create a business-friendly climate.

1) Accountability -- during my involvement with politics, it becomes apparent that many do not hold themselves accountable for their actions. It appears to be the desire of many in government to blame others at the local, state, and federal level for problems that could be prevented by them. As your state senator, if I can do it and it is constitutional, consider it done.

2) Transparency -- frequently in my and others dealing with government officials the answer to almost any question is automatically "no". The individual is then forced to file an RSA 91-A request (state Right-to-know law) to get the information. If I am elected, any information that would be available under 91-A is fair game. Why should we force our citizens to go through hoops to get information they are entitled to from their government? As your state senator, if I have access to it and you are entitled to it, it is yours.

3) Fiscal restraint -- the more government spends, the more they take from us. The more they take from us, the more people lose jobs and homes. The more people lose jobs and homes, the more the people need. The more people need, the more government spends. See a pattern developing here? As your state senator, the constitution will be my guide.

4) Civil liberties -- "Those who give up liberty for safety deserve neither." That quote by Benjamin Franklin could never be more true today. Whether it is the War on Drugs, the War on Terror, or the War on Poverty, government has turned each issue into a War on Our Civil Liberties. As your state senator, I will not vote to make victimless actions illegal and if they are already illegal, I will work to legalize them.

5) Business-friendly climate -- many businesses -- not just mine -- seem to be at the mercy of busybody civil servants who are neither civil nor servants. Be very wary of politicians who talk about creating jobs. They can't. Anyone who promises they can or even implies such is lying. Do you want more jobs available? As your state senator, I will work to get your government out of the way.
